The Incredible Hulk Coaster in Technical Rehearsals

Earlier today the Incredible Hulk Coaster started testing with Team Members and then later opened for all guests for technical rehearsals. A technical rehearsal is to stress test the attraction prior to official opening; as such the attraction can, and will, close at any moment. Below are some photos and videos.

The Incredible Hulk Update

The Incredible Hulk rebuild and reimagining is becoming clearer now as Universal Orlando has released concept art a new video previewing the attraction.

New indoor queue will update the visual aesthetic of the attraction and also provide the best enhancement to the experience: air condition. Photo copyright Universal Orlando Resort.

This past week the coaster has started running tests with water dummies. Mako Madness has the footage. You'll notice the characteristic roar of the coaster is missing, we expect this was dampened to reduce noise pollution in the community. It is possible the roar could be recreated in the park using speakers around guest areas.

The Incredible Hulk reopens late summer 2016, around August or September.

Visitors to Marvel Superhero Island know that the aesthetic hails from the 90s and needs a a refresh. As rumored, Universal has confirmed The Incredible Hulk coaster will go down for refurbishment and upgrade September 8th. More details will be shared soon, but we expect upgrades to control software, queue line and show building replacement, and a change to a modern visual style.

August 24th Universal prematurely announced Fast & Furious on their blog, but made it official the next day. Disaster! will close September 8th and Beetlejuice will close later this year for a new attraction based on the Fast & Furious franchise. Earlier this year Universal Studios Hollywood opened a new finally to their tram tour using Fast & Furious characters to mixed reactions. It's not clear what, if any, aspects of the USH finally will transfer over to this new attraction.

Press Release from Universal Orlando

This year, the wolves are more ferocious and hungry for human flesh…and their pack has expanded.
• All-new, original houses based on the best and most iconic stories from years past, including ghastly scenes from RUN: Blood, Sweat, and Fears, Asylum in Wonderland 3D, Body Collectors: Recollections and Jack Presents: 25 Years of Monsters and Mayhem.

UOR Permit Update: Project 611...SMASH(?)

Another day, another new Universal project number, huh? Today 3 permits for "Project 611" have appeared on the Orlando City Permitting site, and it seems to be for a big project consisting of an interior demolition, renovation, and a brand new project trailer. From what we've heard, this will be a full refurbishment and overhaul of the Incredible Hulk coaster that has been rumored in recent months. By the sound of the initial permits, we should be getting a new queue and some other goodies at the very least.

As always, stay tuned to @Parkscope for more updates.
